The movie “War Room” explores prayer as a powerful spiritual weapon to combat the challenges in our lives. Be encouraged by what God does when people cry out to Him!

We will have two showings of the movie in the Worship Center. First showing will be Sunday afternoon, February 14th, at 1:30 pm. Second showing will be Friday night, February 26th, at 7:45 pm. Bring your family and friends!

Our retired days should be the reward for our previous years of labor. But in reality, these golden years can be very challenging: unexpected illness, pain, weakening physical strength, excessively high retirement and medical expenses. Many have experienced what Jesus said, “The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” Many unprepared families have experienced great pain in dealing with this stage of life.

This seminar will provide information and encouragement, and help you and your loved ones prepare practically, spiritually, and emotionally for the “golden years”.

Speaker’s Biography

Dr. Lowe earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D) and MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He studied Marital and Family Therapy (MFT), and also received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering at UCLA. He was involved in family ministry, counseling adults and families at church, during the past few years. He has conducted numerous workshops on marital enrichment, manhood, and sexuality at churches and conferences in the past. He ministered at Chinese Christian Church of Thousand Oaks (CCCTO) and is currently engaged as a guest preacher at several Southern California churches.

講 員簡介: 謝挺博士生於北京，後移居香港，讀完高中後來美留學。隨後，在美國信主、蒙召。先後於金門神學院、達拉斯神學院、與福勒神學院取得道學碩士、神學碩士、與 哲學博士的學位。自2004年起，在正道神學院教授舊約。中文著作包括「始於神」、「創世記(上)：從創造到揀選」、「創世記(下)：從揀選到保守」，與 「慧於神」。

The Christmas season is an exciting time for kids with bright lights, Christmas songs and presents everywhere.  It’s easy to lose the real meaning for celebrating Christmas – the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  After our 2^nd worship service on Sunday, December 20th, we will have a $2 lunch followed by a Christmas performance.  First through fifth grade children will also have a Christmas party where they will learn about how Jesus is the “Light” of the party! Use this opportunity to bring family and friends together to celebrate Christmas.
