Purpose	This is a corporate Officer position. It is a legally recognized position that acts as a representative of the church and equivalent to a corporate secretary.
Key Responsibilities	Record the official minutes of all Members Meetings. Sign legal documents on behalf of the church, i.e. Minister License, job offers to staff positions Archive and retain official records of the church
Length of Service	1 Year
Time Commitment	Members Meeting:  2-3 hours on Sunday for Qtrly Members’ Meeting  and Special Members’ Meeting Prepare PowerPoint for Members Meeting:  2 or 3 hours prior to the meeting to consolidate all PowerPoint presentations.  (Usually the day before the meeting) Meet with Personnel Cmte or Trustees to sign official documents as needed Occasional search archive for prior discussions/decisions (few minutes as needed)
Qualification	Take notes and prepare minutes of the meeting (summarize discussion and record the decision). Organized and good working relationship with staff and lay leaders Familiar with Roberts Rule of Order to keep meetings orderly Working knowledge of MS Word and general PC software
Key Requirements of FCBC Church Officers	Set good example by committing to attend church prayer meeting at least once a month, the quarterly congregational meeting and annual leadership meeting. Officer will not be nominated if he/she cannot make this commitment. Church member in good standing Evidence of spiritual health Evidence of being in healthy community with other believers Evidence of diligence in service Evidence of good stewardship both personally & organizationally

ESL Ministry is looking for 2 bilingual (Chinese/English) teachers to serve 2 Sundays every month (2:30p-4:00). If you have the burden to serve new immigrants and a heart to bring them to the Lord, contact Anne Wong.

The Good News Club will begin in October to end of April.  It will be from 1:45pm to 4:00pm on Tuesdays during the school year.  It is at Monterey Highland School in Monterey Park.  I need a willing helper to supervise children from First to Fifth grades.  No teaching experience is okay, just willing to be trained and to serve our Lord.

HSMT is looking for new counselors!  We help train the youth by teaching them how to share God’s love with one another. We put this into practice through different ministry partnerships within the church and on our annual short term mission trip where we minister to the Navajo people and train the youth as missionaries.

Weddings are a sacred and memorable event for the bride and groom.  If you enjoy coordinating events, think about joining our Church Wedding Committee to help couples with planning their wedding here at FCBCLA.  No Experience is needed and we will train.  Time commitment: you will participate in 2 meetings with the couple, attend rehearsal, wedding ceremony and reception.
